| Changdeokgung Palace

 

Changdeokgung Palace is the best preserved of the remaining

Joseon palaces and the second oldest in Seoul after Gyeongbokgung.

Building began in 1405 and was completed in 1412. The palace

grounds are what makes this palace famous. The grounds are

comprised of a public palace area, a royal family residence building,

and the rear garden that houses a gigantic tree

that is over 300 years old, a small pond and a pavilion.
